Tuesday, December 13, 2011 - Utah Jazz GM Kevin O'Connor observed Lee Howard from Carolina Physical Therapy and Athletic Development take Josh Howard through an evaluation and workout at their Athletic Development Program to assess his current physical status. The Utah Jazz were impressed enough with Josh's performance to sign him for the upcoming season. |

Bryan Shifflett, CSCCa
Bryan graduated from James Madison University in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. While at JMU he interned with the Strength & Conditioning department and assisted workouts for baseball, softball, cheerleading, soccer, tennis, volleyball, cross-country, and track & field. After graduating from JMU he went on to Wake Forrest University Sports Performance for a year and earned his Collegiate Strength Coach Certification. He enjoys working with athletes to increase their speed and agility and his specialty is in training strength/power athletes.
In his spare time Bryan enjoys hunting, fishing, and powerlifting. He currently holds the Virginia state record in the 100% RAW, drug-free, powerlifting organization for the 242lb weight class 20-24 age group with a 523 lb Squat, 380 Bench, and 600 deadlift with a 1503 total. He plans to keep competing and possible try his hand at Strongman one day.
